Description
Defibrillator Course (AED)
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is well established as the only effective therapy for cardiac arrest. The scientific evidence to support early defibrillation is overwhelming, meaning the most crucial part of survival is the delay from collapse to the delivery of the first shock. The chances of successful defibrillation decline at a rate of 7-10% with each minute. Basic life support may help to sustain a shockable rhythm but is not a definitive treatment.
First Aid House offer a comprehensive Automated External Defibrillator (AED) programme, it is based on the necessary theory and is backed up with a practical session. The course is run over half a day and is made as informative, but yet as enjoyable as possible, we aim to develop the students confidence in what is a new and possibly somewhat daunting skill.
Also, with addition to our training we are able to offer advice in areas such as, company protocols, purchasing equipment and on-going help and support with training and development.
Training conforms to current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines.
If you currently have or will be getting a defibrillator, on site training is recommended.
