Within 6 months the gloves are 20% biodegraded. After 5 years (depending on landfill conditions) the gloves are entirely degraded. Without this newly designed glove this process would take over 100 years.

Why?

Nitrile is very robust making it extremely resistant to punctures, tears and chemicals, as well as having good malleable properties. For this reason they are often used in the medical, laboratory and manufacturing industries.
